Gamble With Your Friends Keno — Rules & the Never-Win Problem

Keno (the in-game machine some players call "kino") is Gamble With Your Friends' lottery corner: pick numbers, the machine draws, hits pay. Creator consensus is blunt about it — C tier, "fun but you never win" — and no filmed run has built a fortune on it. It still earns its page for two reasons: it gates achievements on two floors, and it powers one of the game's stranger challenge lines.

How the machine works

Keno follows the classic draw format: place a bet, mark your numbers, the machine draws its set, and payouts scale with how many of your picks land. The GWYF twist is the same as every table here: max bets are capped as a share of the daily quota, so keno can never eat more of the crew's bank than the house allows — and its payouts have never been filmed at the high multipliers tables like roulette (24x) or plinko (24x edge) reach. Exact paytable numbers: "(to be verified)" — no run has posted the full table.

Where it appears and what it gates

The Steam achievements pin keno to Floor 2 (Spot On — bet a lot of money on Keno, 14.2% of players) and Floor 4 (Marked to Win — profit a lot of money on Keno, 5.1%). The profit one is the trap: profiting on a C-tier draw game takes either a lucky session or the statue's loss-blocking. Filmed playthroughs also mention the machine appearing in a loan-shark challenge line ("the kino challenge"), which can fill even when you're winning elsewhere.

When to actually play it

Three honest cases: challenge completion (when the daily or loan-shark challenge names keno), the Spot On/Marked to Win achievement grind, or dead time waiting for a crewmate's round elsewhere. For the bankroll's sake it is otherwise a pass-through — the efficiency table in the minigames hub shows why minesweeper, roulette and craps out-earn it at every stage of a run. If the machine feels rigged against you, that is variance plus the daily seed — the same draw sequence replays for anyone re-entering that day.
